File Menu
Actions available for files in your Kiosk library.
Right-Click Context Menu
Right-click any file in the gallery or list view:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Inspect 3D | Opens an interactive 3D viewer for OBJ, STL, PLY, FBX, glTF, and USD — with mesh info, normals, and embedded FBX textures. |
| Export Selected | Sends the file(s) to your connected DCC, running the command stack for the current category. Needs an active live session (green indicator, top-right). |
| Open File | Opens with the default Windows app. |
| Reveal in Explorer | Shows the file in Windows Explorer. |
| Copy | Copy the file (Ctrl+C) or its file:/// URL (Ctrl+Shift+C). |
| Edit | Rename the file (Ctrl+R) or edit its custom tags. |
| Thumbnail | Set a custom thumbnail — choose an image, paste from clipboard (Ctrl+V), screen-capture, or regenerate a 3D preview. |
| Debug File Info | Prints every database field and path for the file. Handy when troubleshooting. |

- Search (Ctrl+F) — real-time across filenames, sources, and tags
- Source toggles — show/hide individual sources
- Merge — group image sequences or PBR texture sets into single tiles
- Tile size — adjust thumbnail size, or hold Ctrl and scroll anywhere over the gallery
- Gallery / List — switch between grid and list view
- Refresh — re-reads the library and redraws the gallery, keeping your category, source selection, folder, search, sort, and filter toggles
Gallery Tiles
The thumbnail fills the whole card, with the filename and a metadata line over a gradient at the bottom. The metadata line follows the asset type — images and texture sets lead with resolution, models and everything else with file size — followed by the source name. It’s drawn from the fields you picked for the ⓘ button, and it’s dropped entirely on the smallest tile sizes rather than shrunk to unreadable text.
- Actions appear on hover — info top-left, favorite top-right, export/download bottom-right. One per corner, so there’s no mis-click to make.
- Badges stay visible — video and sequence badges report what an asset is, so they don’t hide when you move away.
- Variant and channel pickers sit on the metadata row. Click one to open the list, or scroll over it to step through options without opening anything. Long lists show five entries at a time and scroll.
A live session dot (green) shows when a DCC plugin is connected; an Update button appears top-right when a new version is available.
